LOS ANGELES - Skygazers Note: Part of the Moon's shadow crosses the Earth on Saturday during a partial lunar eclipse visible in the western United States and Canada, the Pacific and East Asia East.

For the viewers on the West Coast, the eclipse takes place in the hours before dawn. Start and end about 15.17 clock PST three hours later.

During a lunar eclipse, Earth blocks some of the sunlight to reach that usually the Moon. Just over half the surface of the Moon in Eclipse shaded edge.

Saturday partial solar eclipse is an overview of the total eclipse of the moon in December, which is visible in North America.
